“Though we didn’t take out the win, to be the Asia Pacific Region Finalist was a great achievement for our team at Prendi. To be standing beside some of the amazing companies that were finalists was an honor.” James says as he reflects on his experience.

“It takes an event like this for us to look back and appreciate the work we have been doing.  We will continue to push forward and revolutionise experiences.”

About the Awards

Now in its fifth year, Talent Unleashed is a prestigious awards program that recognises outstanding start-ups and inspiring entrepreneurs dedicated to transforming business and the wider community through technological innovation. Apple Co-Founder Steve Wozniak chaired the global judging panel for the awards and was joined by Virgin Founder Sir Richard Branson, Igniting Change Founder Jane Tewson, plus many more.

Steve Wozniak reflected on the passion for innovation which has driven his continued involvement in the Talent Unleashed Awards over the past three years.

“I decided to judge these awards because innovation is so key in my life, especially young people who are humble and just have an idea, and they have ideas more than they’ve ever had any big wealth or success in their life – their ideas are really good,” he said.

“I love to follow good ideas – I’m more interested in interesting people and interesting things, than people with power and wealth.

About Prendi

Prendi, an SME based in Brisbane Australia, was born 4 years ago to fill a need in the Australian market.

“We wanted to do something different. We saw companies selling technology or content, but nobody who cared about the complete solution.

“Without interactive, engaging experiences, the value one creates – whatever that may be – is very one-dimensional and limited. For too long businesses have been focused on communicating at their audience and not engaging with them. As a result, the world has missed out on the opportunities afforded through the sharing of information. This one-way dialogue – the 20 ft billboard, 15-second television commercial – stifles connection and innovation. This desperately needs to change. And Prendi deeply cares about this.

“Everything we do is based on the mantra of “the right solution for our clients”. We don’t just sell one product or use one platform. We don’t sell based on the most expensive hardware, or the one with the biggest margin. We are not afraid to turn down opportunities if forced to deliver the wrong solution. We actually care about what we’re making. We understand what our clients are trying to achieve and present concepts that open their minds to the possibilities.

“Because the possibilities really are endless.

What’s Next for Prendi

James Ingram speaks about what the future means to Prendi,

“The future isn’t about one-way dialogue, such as the 20ft billboard, or the 15 second tv commercial, as these stifle connection and limit innovation. We envisage a fully connected world with seamlessly integrated technology capable of enhancing and enriching the lives of everyone.”

“We will continue to revolutionise experiences and push the boundaries of what is possible. Our solutions will be influential in not only the retail and education industries, but anywhere that imagination, curiosity, creativity, sharing, joy and appreciation are important.

“We would also like to thank our amazing clients, for their ongoing support of Prendi. We are really thankful to be working with different teams each with a unique vision for digital – as we continually encourage them to push the boundaries.
